Fixed-Loc® Clinching Joint Section Cut Illustration

The Fixed-Loc® clinching system primarily creates a clinching point by means of a frictional connection. The punch-side material generates a high frictional connection with the die-side sheet. However, an ejector system should be used to ensure that the clinching point created is lifted out safely. Fixed-Loc® clinch points are produced in a fixed die and form higher buttons than Tog-L-Loc® clinch points, which are produced with split dies, mainly by deformation.
