A vantagem de um grampo em C em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com um p\u00f3rtico de prensa ou um grampo em X (tamb\u00e9m conhecido como grampo de corte) \u00e9 a sua conce\u00e7\u00e3o simples. Isto significa que s\u00e3o necess\u00e1rios apenas alguns elementos de m\u00e1quina e trabalho de montagem, o que torna esta conce\u00e7\u00e3o muito mais simples e, por conseguinte, mais econ\u00f3mica. A boa acessibilidade (espa\u00e7o de instala\u00e7\u00e3o) do produto \u00e9 outra vantagem decisiva.<\/p><p>A desvantagem dos suportes em C reside na curvatura f\u00edsica desta geometria em \u201cC\u201d. Os erros de coaxialidade associados (desalinhamento angular) podem causar problemas em processos de uni\u00e3o cr\u00edticos.
